Need some opinions.......

So, I have been separated for a little over a month now.

I will get to the point. When I was younger, well, about 7 years ago, 20-22 years old, I use to run with this crowd. Well, within the crowd was this girl, she was pretty cool, and we hung out almost every weekend(some good times).

There was nothing ever sexual between us, more like, i gues you would say (girl)friend, just like the women say, I am going out with a guy friend.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with friends of the opposite sex(does this exisit?)

Anyways, who here would see it as wrong for me to ask this girl to a Bengals game this Friday? Haven't hung out with her in 4-5 years probably, and we always got along pretty well, and she is pretty cool.

Just looking for some opinions.

If she knows your exwife I would not, but if she does not know your exwife, go ahead and have a good time at the Bengals game.

Absolutely-actually quite common-especially someplace like Denver where there are so many single people.

Don't be surprised if it turns to more, but there's nothing better than that "no commitment, it happens" friend that doesn't want any long term hassles (or is primarily a rug muncher, but still plays :103631605

A months separation isnt a very long time. I would advise against it unless you are 100 percent sure you are getting a divorce. If there is no chance your marriage can be saved, and I do mean nochance, then go ahead but make sure it is a legal separation you have now or you could hurt yourself in the divorce settlement. JMHO. Good luck whatever you do.

Would love to be a fly on the wall when she asks what have you been during for the last 4-5 years since you last tlaked to me. I would just contact her casually to see how she has been...what's new....boyfriends....kids...the clap...new job whatever. After that ice is broken if you two are still getting along yeah invite her if you intend for her to just be your (girl)friend if not girls see right thru that stuff.

The fact of the matter is most my friends are married, or dating, and so far up their signifant others ass they can't breath.

I believe you and am sure you are sincere but when your wife finds out ( and she definitely will), will she believe you? It could put the final nail in any chance of reconciliation.

If you want to maintain a chance of saving your marriage, asking an old female friend to the game is not going to help. Honestly, this ought to be painfully obvious to you.
