bears season win total at pinny?

started out 6.5 over -110. then grossman gets hurt in the first preseason game and is out for the year. then, the bears can't sign cedric benson and he misses the whole camp. then, the bears name kyle orton the starting qb.

now it is 6.5 over -137???

who is betting the bears over 6.5 wins with all this bad news? :icon_conf

maybe people think the bears are this year's steelers...get a rookie qb and a good defense and go from 6-10 to 13-3.

i think if they win 8 games it will be a miracle.

i mean, they are a 6 point dog in week 1 against washington!

They have a tough schedule. But I think the Bears will be solid. Their defense will keep them in most games. I'll look to take points with them in some situations, starting with Week 1.

Wins O/U at around 7 looks right to me.

:lolBIG: Blue, I'm not a die-hard Bears fan or anything, I swear. I am objective here. I called Orton over Hutchinson weeks ago.

I just think their defense is a bit stronger (and healthier for now) than it's been past years. Rivera will do a good job with them and Lovie is a good coach.

I think teh team total is pretty accurate, no value either way. At U6.5 you gotta hope they go 6-10, not a lot of room for error.

I really like Bears +7 against Wash, unless there are some injuries between now and then. Low scoring game.

If Hutchinson were going to be the QB I would have put the O/U at 2.5:drink:

With Orton I say they go 6-10, but cover a lot of spreads starting with Week 1 at the Skins, who should be equally inept offensively.

Cedric Benson also signed today. Who knows how much impact he will have, probably not much in the first few games. And who knows how good he will be. I sure don't.

I got my bet on the over 6.5 early on. They have one of the best defenses in the NFL. If they beat the Skins, they are staring at a 3-0 start.
