Is it OK, for Sportsbooks

Just a simple question, Is it right, ok, proper etc for Sportsbooks, to be making and takng wagers on all various "things" that are not sports.

Like, OIl prices, music, Presidential Elections, grammys, emmy's etc

The US Government - through DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) - asked for proposals to set up an exchange where people would bet on when/where the next terrorist attacks would happen.

When the shit hit the fan .... LOL
