We have all been on a run where nothing seems to go right for a period of a couple of days, weeks, or month. In the past, I have rather taken some time off and got refreshed, or cut down on my number of plays and only played top game, or played less money regardless of how strongly I felt about a game. What have some of you done to stop your losing streak?

I switch from gambling fan to sports fan and just enjoy the games until I feel confident about a couple teams.

STOP playing and wait for better spots or different sports to wager on.

I have stopped betting baseball for about the umpteenth time in my life now...

I have to take a break. Regardless of how much I'm laying on the games, there comes a point where my confidence is shot to hell. I either take some time off entirely, or follow a couple of days of "air bets" to see if things are turning around.

More than anything, it's just a matter of stepping back and giving myself a break for a little while. Seeing numbers in your sleep sucks!!!

Stop playing for a while, come back fresh with a different attitude and approach.. after each losing streak I try to take as much positive from it I can..even if its just viewing it as 'an excercise in self control' to be able to step back while in a slump instead of chasing.

Can't we ALL just get along?!!

Good advice, and when you come back just try to win enough to pay your cable/sat bill. No shyt! It's easy to get wrapped up in being a 'whale' instead of just winning.

I've said it before, get the Xmas jar out and bet with yourself till the worm starts turning, that way your knee-jerk anger frustration bets are contributing to a merry Xmas. Its amazing how it can mount up, especially if you add those, bet because its on the box and uninformed horse-racing. I have never had less than a grand in about 10 years and thats not with big stakes.
