I recently re-upped at Sportbet and won a decent amount before cashing out. I received the payout promptly with no issues, and was very satisfied. I did not take a bonus this time, so that made it easier. I had never taken a payout before at your book, and really just re-upped a small amount to try to win back the money that you took from me last year. I had been critical of your book on the forums, because of the way some friends that I referred were treated. It seems that your book always pays, but the rollover terms have been a problem in the past. The site would say 5 times, then it would change to 10 times a month later, and my friends would have to wager 10 times. Or, if they played 5 bucks in the casino, their rollover would go up to 10 times. Sportbet continues to give generous bonuses, and would be a good book for a small player. Since it seems that rollover terms are the only problem, I have a simple suggestion. Is there any way that you can have the rollover met and rollover left to bet displayed at all times? I know that 5 Dimes does this on their site, and it is excellent. I'm sure that this feature would help your book. I know that I would refer a bunch of squares there for the good bonuses, if I knew that they would have no problems cashing out. Just a thought.

Every sportsbook should have this. Just like the pokerrooms that tell you how many raked hands you have left to clear your bonus. :103631605

Illini,

I think that is a great idea! I will bring it up to our software provider immediately. The only problem that I forsee would be the restrictions for our bonuses. Since we have quite a few daily promotions (-107, Free ½ point, Free Football Fridays, Best Bet of the Week, etc...), and wagers using these promos do not count towards the rollover, it might prove difficult. I really like the idea, however, so I will see what we can do to make it work.

On a different note, I am glad that you tried us out and had a favorable experience. We have always tried to pride ourselves on the way we treat our clients, and I will continue to try and focus our efforts on Customer Service. Thanks for the opportunity, but a bigger thanks for taking the time to write this suggestion. It is much appreciated and, truly, a very good idea.

Wow.... none of your promotions count toward rollover? I was real close to signing up, until I read that.

Glad you brought up the rollover bet qualification item, THAT is the only reason I didn`t reup w/you. Trying to take advantage of the "specials" fully and also complete the rollover is just too much of a hassle IMO. If you have these specials as attractions a player should be able bet freely w/o thinking does this count or not. It just dilutes the attactiveness of your promo. You`ve got a long enough rollover period as it is no need to make it this difficult.

Leykis and Silver,

Thank you for bringing up those points. I do realize that it will deter some clients from depositing, and hopefully with those clients, we can work something out that makes them happy. You don't get if you don't ask, I was always told.

The dilemma that we encounter when allowing those promotions to count towards the rollover, is the bonus hunters. The clients who only play on tues and thursday and friday. That same client might call on wednesday, make one wager, and request it as his best bet. So, in essence, I give 50% for the first deposit, reduced juice for the first bets, free 1/2 pts for his second bets, free 15% extra on his third bets, a Bonus Bet on his fourth set of bets...etc...

That rule is out there to protect me from those type of clients. An everyday client, who gives us good action on a regular basis will never have to worry about rollover or bonus penalties. We recently began taking a more player friendly approach with bonus penalties. I am still very hard on those who want to get a bonus and get out, doing the bare minimum. However, I have softened my stance when it comes to the everyday client.

If anyone would like to play at Sportbet, but has an issue with certain policies, give me a call. Some can bend, others can't, but I am happy to review each case. Thanks for your time, folks.
