Not half as bad as people were thinking it would be. They are very fortunate the eye took a right turn before ariving on land or it would have been ugly in the Big Easy.

And to think I was upset when Yanks scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 9 th !
This is simply unbelievable and certainly puts everything into perspective. I can't even imagine what it must be like to have this happen to your home and life. This will take a long long time to return to anything resembling normal. :sad3:

All i want to know about is what is going on in the French Quarter...that place is like Las Vegas to me...

Places like Arabi can be wiped from the face of the earth, they need to be anyway, dilapidated homes that needed a stiff breeze to knock em down.

Visited New Orleans and the French Quarter for the first time in May and had a great time. Very hard to believe that with all that water and other damage to the city coupled with the extreme poverty there that the city will ever be what it once was. Just so sad....

Count me as one that will never live in New Orleans.

Wonder how Brett Favre's home withstood the storm.

Canal Street is flooded and water is beginning to rise in the Quarter. They haven't been able to seal the levy breaks.

New Orleans is my favorite city to visit. It looked like they came out well yesterday morning but since that time we have seen pictures of most of the city underwater and now with the levee breaking the French Quarter is now underwater. I wish everyone in the Gulf coast the best of luck.

I am waiting for the rest of the world to offer assistance like we did after the Tsunami. Lets see how long we have to wait.
