Kojak's Tuesday Baseball

A lukewarm day yesterday in bases as Giambi took over and cost me Seattle bet but it happens. Anyway today have a few to get started....

Dodgers +155 (Penny) vs Cubs (Prior)...Books are still overinflating prices when Prior pitches as he has been extremely average this year imo. Value rides with Penny and Dodgers who are starting to show signs of life. Cubs have packed it in for the year by trading Hollandworth,Lawton, and forcing Wood to go ahead with surgery.

Phillies/Mets over 7.5 o15....Though Seo and Tejada respectively have been pitching well, this is crunch time and expect a pretty offensive game with the stars for both teams stepping up in this one. Great value on this total imo.

San Diego -190 (Peavy) vs Arizona (Vasquez)...SD having a tough home stand but now not in a must win but needing to win to stave off Arizona getting confident Love this pitching advantage today for Pads!

Oakland +110 (Zito) vs Anaheim (Colon)...Some clear advantages in this game for Anaheim like day off after being out east while Oakland played in Baltimore but what this game comes down to is offense. Oakland has the hot bats while Angels bats are doormant. In the end with a tight pitching matchup that will be the difference.

As/Angels over 7o25...Feel offense is the deciding factor in this game and 7 is an extremely low number for an AL game with the dh

Kansas City +180 (Lima) vs Minnesota (Silva).....Really feel like Twins bats won't be up to par in this one in an offensive game like Royals chances of stopping the losing streak tonight

Texas +105 Game 1 (Benoit) vs White Sox (Garland).....This feels like dejavu from White Sox trip to Boston a few weeks back when Buerhle got beat and then Garland. I am betting it to happen again as Rangers bats too much.

Would love to take San Diego but with Giles out there lineup suffers big time up and down it.

Agree Prior has been average but so has Penny, I like the over even with a depleted Dodgers lineup.

Agree with Texas as well but will play it safe and take the over as well.

Prior may be the most overrated pitcher in baseball, but having said that, the Dodgers can't score and have basically quit. Under looks solid.

I have been gone for a couple of hours and played this parlay and I am going to add the same parlay for game 2!

Game 2 Parlay Texas -105/ over 10.5....It is very hot in Texas today and as witnessed by the runs scored early in this game. Rangers handed McCarthy is only loss and it was a real beauty as he gave up 4 home runs in that outing! Volquez is supposed to be the Texas equal in perspective star status to Seattle's King Hernandez. He is making his debut so definitely going to be some more runs scored but I like Texas a lot here as Sox have not seen Volquez, McCarthy has already been roughed up once in Ameriquest earlier this year, and fact that Texas bats are red hot right now.

TB/Boston under 10....70% expected showers, Kazmir only given up 4 er in 27 innings to Boston, Schilling pitching, and most importantly Don Best gave steamplay on this game over and everytime they give steam play it goes the other way

Baltimore +129 (Lopez) vs Toronto (Bush)....Best thing for Orioles is to hit the road and fact getting great value with Lopez Baltimore's best starting pitcher vs Toronto's bottom half starter. Orioles are due for a breakout!
