Postponed
CLEVELAND -- The effects of Hurricane Katrina hit Northeast Ohio hard Tuesday and forced the Indians to postpone their 7:05 p.m ET game with the Tigers because of daylong rain.
Team officials announced the postponement at 3:30 p.m., but they offered no specifics on when the game would be rescheduled. They did say, however, that an announcement would be coming shortly.
Fans who have tickets to the game, the second in a three-game series with Detroit, must hold on to those tickets.
The postponement was the second this season with the Tigers. The two teams made up that game with a doubleheader on the Fourth of July, two games the Indians won.
