Bet big and lost with the Angels yesterday and of course, today I bet the Athletics and they make Lackey look golden up there on the mound.

Hopefully Blanton can keep up the solid pitching so that these Athletics can make a comeback.

He should have taken that pitch with the way Lackey was throwing...but no. major leaguers hardley ever take the pitch when they should. They always have to get the hit, be the hero.

I hope the 7th, 8th and 9th are good.

The As are really blowing a great outing by Blanton.....

No runs scored last inning and now in the 7th, Lackey strikes out the first 2 he sees.

Pathetic.

Chen, I'm hoping for the classic manager mistake. Leaving a guy in too long. Lackey at 106 pitches already, and around this point even offenses that were being shut down will usually start to get a hit or two. They may leave him in one batter too long.

I've seen that time and time again Omni. No one seems to want to get an RBI with a walk no matter how poorly the pitcher is pitching.

Can Oakland get some damn runs on the board with 2 more innings left? Shields has been good, so our only hope may be K-rod in the 9th doing his usual thing of blowing games...

I know what you mean. What's been K-rod's problem lately? He is part of the reason I took the bet on the A's.
