ESPN Sportscenter, sarcasm and cheesy jokes job prerequisite?

These anchors, especially the newer ones, all clones, everything is sarcastic and spoofed...

I prefer ESPN News but, its the same there, its as oif the same guy is writing all their cheesy material.

we get it, ESPN...I can imagine these anchors walk around Connecticut like their sh*t don't stink.

I never thought I'd get sick of sportscenter but...

the "problem" is EVERY "on air talent" there wants to be the next BIG name and they know the only way it will happen is if they develop some sort of "schtick" so they can stand out so they all spend a LOT of time trying to think up their cute "catch phrase" so they can be recognized by management

like others i simply can't watch SC anymore. the show has no pace or flow to it. it looks as if they gathered all of the scripts for the show and then threw them in the air and however they landed on the floor that is the way they do the show

from talking to friends who still work there espn has basically taken over bristol and it shows. but in this case quantity does NOT equal quality because SC has slid so far downhill it went from "Must See TV" to "I'd rather see anything BUT that"

maybe with Mark Shapiro leaving (a big wig there who is leaving to go work for Daniel Snyder) SC can become watchable again but don't count on it

as long as ESPN has "Mr. EOE" - a.k.a Stuart Scott - the ALL-TIME WORST ON-AIR "TALENT" IN THE HISTORY OF TV things don't look to bright - sort of like Stuart. As I have said before maybe one day Scott's only good eye will rool into the back of his head and he will be completely blind and thus have to be taken off the air. If you need proof that being Black gets you further along in that business then being White - see Stuart Scott for all of the proof you will ever need! He is to Good TV what Kirstie Alley is to Health and Fitness

Its even worse and more noticeable when you're sitting here, trying to study the daily card, and you hear those idiots in the background as SC plays over and over, til you finally go crazy from hearing the stupid crap for the 4th time...

Everybody that's been a round knows that Sportscenter has gone so far downhill that it is sickening. I very rarely watch sportscenter anymore. Even their other shows like Baseball Tonight and NFL Primetime - once must see TV is now crap. It's like a contest to see who can come up witht he most outrageous/over the top thing to say to grab attention.

It's not just ESPN, it's EVERYTHING they produce. ESPN now cannot air a football game without putting on a music concert as well. Will they realize that the people who want to watch Steve Spurrier's return tonight are going to watch for THAT reason and NOT to see some fucking country singer perform some shitty song that no one gives a fuck about? Every damned game is now a mini-Super Bowl. It's ridiculous...so aggravating. Instead of the commercial focusing on Spurrier's return, they focus on this goddamn singer. Unbelievable, and incredibly aggravating...especially when they air the commercial every 5 minutes.

I personally started absolutely abhoring ESPN two years ago..Matter of fact as a gambler, i have to avoid ESPN entirely before i place my bets....That lack of information at this network is mind boggling!!!! I cant stand watching a complete idiot like John Clayton blubbering on and on about some minor detail he is hanging his nuts on that almost always inevitably falls flat!!!! Espn is by far the worst network a gambler could make a mistake and follow...

Knowing this all you members of the Rx should have figured that ESPN is only for one thing and one thing only...To help you see your games. After that, shut if off....dont listen to their prognostications, their stupid predictions, their bone head summaries....that shit is for squares!!!!!....

Practically all my friends are squares. They like that ESPN shit and think espn is the best...Like it or not the rest of the world likes ESPN....We are the very small minority that no one will listen to!!!!!!

Ps...I hold a special vicious hatred for all ESPN movies, series or whatever f@cked up dramas they have ever produced...This one thing turned me off ESPN totally!!!!!

dude thats not my personal opinion...this was the opinion of most people who worked over there with him...He was a grade A jack ass that had a mirror on the floor just to check his hair...(no kidding here) I have heard so many stories over sports radio shows from fellow sportscasters from Espn who thought he was a jerk!!!!!

(they even did an ESPN promo with him being a jerk to so intern about a year or so ago, there was truth in that promo, it wasnt a coincidence)

There is a reason why Killborn doesnt have a late night show any more!!!!! And it has more to do with ratings than with his personal ambitions!!!!
