Just reported on CNN. Concerns for safety of search and rescue personnel.

A Canadian team was dispatched today but they also do not include armed guards as part of the team.

i'm not bringing politics into this .

the man is our leader and 48 hours was a little long in my opinion.

and by the way , i'm not a jackass or piece of shit..

to me, the blaming Bush for everything under the sun is getting old.

its FEMA's job, national guard, police, local government and state government's job to aid New Orleans. Looks like whats left of their police force is doing hurculean work in the city. so if anyone wants to start blaming people, look to the rest of my list

W#1, if you must blame any one person for the lack of control in La lay your blame at the feet of Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco. She is by law the one person in charge, calling the shots. She is waaaaayy over her head.

i wasnt blaming anyone in my post..

just turned off by the time frame.

i would have thought we would see GW monday night after one of the worst natural disasters in this countrys history.

you guys are right on though , the LA leadership seems to be lacking from the local to the state.

The governor seems to be an idiot unable to understand how to respond.

seems pretty simple, get every volunteer police officer from the northern part of the state willing to go in, get every available national guardman that can be scraped up and send them in in a large convoy, including trucks with food and water to supply them and hand out to needy as much as possible as they re-gain control of New Orleans. After the video coming out of that town Tuesday, THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE YESTERDAY MORNING! FIRST THING! This relief could have arrived by yesterday afternoon.

Then the evacuations could continue orderly and ASAP. Instead, she declared a day of prayer yesterday.

ABSOLUTELY. But in her defense, who wouldn't be over their head in trying to evacuate a major city that was 80% submerged? Plus the bad flooding was after the hurricane hit and the levees broke which added to the false sense of many that they had already survived the worst part

A total evacuation should be ordered, local police around the nation should be called in to keep order and paid by localities (all they do is write parking tickets anyways). All evacuee's should be bussed to Houston where they are given a free ticket to wherever they need to go, wherever friends and family are.
GET BUSSES FROM EVERWHERE AND CLEAR THE CITY IN 48 HOURS.
DO THIS NOW!!!!!

Idiotic and classless comment. Bush can do damn near everything from his ranch that he can in D.C.
