Above title was moved to site promotions. Intentions were to inform players of scam by agents but was moved to site promotions instead. Move it back here and delete last paragraph if you must.

I would like to tell my experience with a crooked agent so that others may not fall into the same trap. I will not give the full name of the agent involved but many will know who he is. I originally met the agent a few years back when I signed up at Jaguar Sports. He intoduced himself as Chaz Wil..... . marketing director. I played there with no problems.
A few weeks later Chaz W. called me from DSI as marketing director and I signed up there with no problems. The same pattern went on with Cascade, Rio/Skybook, Country Club Sports and 2 or 3 other Sportsbooks in Costa Rica. I often wondered why this guy jumped around from Shop to Shop but it really didn't bother me at the time since I didn't have any problems. During this time frame I had actually been playing with the Sportbooks and had been paid in a timely fashion. The bottom line was that I had gained a trust in this individual throughout time.
My problem began when Chaz called and said that he now was working for Action Bets as an agent who had been in business for 7 years. He said that he would be responsible for my money transactions and that he had backing from a wealthy source. I deposited once again feeling that this was just another shop Chaz had dealings with. This time however Chaz was responsible for paying me. I played there for 6 months and continued losing and depositing more money with Chaz. Finally I hit a small winning streak and asked for a payout of $7000 on May 2nd 2005. Sure enough Chaz was unavailable once he knew that I wanted a payout. He simply turned out to be a STIFFER.

What I would like to convey to the readers of this forum is that Action Bets went up and beyond the call of duty to help me. The customer service manager by the name of Jason who used to work for ABC Sportsbook became very interested in trying to help me. He tried to call Chaz who resides in Costa Rica on several occasions. Chaz had promised him that he would pay me on a certain date but that date passed and he reneged on his promise. Finally Jason got the owner of Action Bets involved. The owner went as far as to go to Chaz' home in Costa Rica to try to help me get paid. He took a personal interest in my case even though Chaz paid a per head fee with Action Bets and really had no financial responsibility. He felt a certain duty to help because Chaz used his book as a vehicle to stiff me.

After several days had passed Jason called and said that the owner of Action Bets would be willing to offer me a bailout plan. As it turned out this was a great opportunity to recoup some of my losses. I agreed to a 9 time rollover with matching funds. Keep in mind that they did not have to offer me anything. Since that time I met my rollover requirements and have been paid with a cashier check in 2 days. To this day I am still playing with Action Bets. All they asked for is that I tell my story on the prescription so that others will not get hurt by crooked agents. During the course of this problem I spoke to a Rio manager and he said Chaz had done the same thing to a player at Rio to the tune of $70,000. They said Chaz would wear out his welcome by stiffing someone and then move on to another book. This explains why Chaz worked for many Costa Rican books. It seems many players gain confidence with Customer Service people to the point that they can fall into the same trap that I did. Player need to Beware of this scheme.

I saw Chaz about 3 days ago boozing it up here in CR. When I see him again, I will ask about your situation. He always seemed like a straight up guy but looks can be deceiving.

He is a blowhard. He has no money. He has burned many players. He lives in CR scamming but his base has dwindled.

Hey Boston what's up man. Chaz. I remember that guy from somewhere, had the scratchy rough voice, but haven't been with him in quit a while. Glad to hear that Action Bets is a standup book, but shouldn't they be responsible for their agents? Glad that they made it right? I got your e-mail, and no I haven't been paid by those crooks at betus/little nasa/omni. My thread is always lurking towards the first page.

Sorry you haven't had closure to your problem with Bet Us.

I believe most agents are responsible for their players. I do believe that it is the Sportsbook's responsibility to make sure their agents are financially stable. It turns out Chaz is penniless until the next deposit by one of his players. He then takes the deposit and parties in Costa Rica. He can't have too many players left because he doesn't pay them when they win. He is no better than a STIFF Sportsbook.

I believe the best thing you can do is help make sure that Chaz doesn't do this to anyone else. Perhaps you can give a heads up to the Shop he is using now. If you have any doubts talk to the people at Action Bets. Besides being a great Book they have helped greatly. You may want to open an account there once you meet the owner. 8 cent lines and great bonuses as well

AV,

There is no advantage of going through an agent unless you want to play on credit. My point is in fact to avoid agents particularly those who you may have met when they worked in marketing at a Sportsbook in the past. In my case I got to know an employee from betting Offshore who became an agent but had no money to pay winnings to players. Beware of this scam. You are better off in playing directly with the Sportsbook. All of the ones advertising on this site all pay when you win.
