Split my attempt at a two POD day...1-1 +.06....six bucks!!!!!

Back to one a day:

Under 8 (-118) Braves/Nats

Going to be tough for the Nats to score tonight IMO.Smoltz coming off a bad performance....the Nats coming off a rare good offensive performance.Nats have had trouble scoring most of the season and although they seem better on the road,Smoltz will be sharp following the 4er, 2HR start LTO.He was also one upped statistically by Armas in an earlier matchup this year.Armas is the question mark here (its rare when there isnt at least one in a game). He's also coming off a shaky start (actually skipped last start to rest shoulder) but on occasion he's been resilient follwing a bad outing. He walks alot of guys as well.None of the Braves have done very well against him though (some of the big guys have had a significant # of ABs) and he pitched well vs them in the earlier game I mentioned. The Braves have not exactly been tearing it up on a steady basis lately either. They also had a good game with the bats last night. With no Furcal and most likely no C.Jones their O suffers greatly, coupled with the fact the Braves hit .333 in thier last game (11 hits) I think Armas can slow them down in this spot.If need be the Nats BP will be called quick as they are among the most effective in the league. The Braves have also seemed to shore the BP a little as of late.Maybe Farnsworth will work out who knows....I expect Smoltz to get deep anyway.
