Is it really that difficult, 1 gallon in an hour... doesn't seem that unrealistic, how old was the kid though?

Letterman said the kid was 18 or 19, but I think he was joking. He was a big, older kid though, must have been at least 16. The kid did say that this was his last year of eligibility as bat-boy.

No, for two reasons. #1: He puked right afterwards, and the bet with Brad Penny was that he couldn't puke for one hour.
#2: The reason the Marlins suspended him was for violating team/league "gambling rules". Bat boy's response: it was a dare, not a bet. If that's his position, it's doubtful he would have collected. Plus, he puked.

It is impossible for the human stomach to keep a hold of 1 gallon of milk at one time.

Milk curdles when it reaches your stomach. When this happens, it expands in volume. Imagine one gallon of any thing in your stomach...and then make it bigger

Milk hits the dilute hydrochloric acid in your stomach and I can only image something forming like cottage cheese
