As a steeler fan (but always as a sports bettor first), I agree. This team looks lost. Even the 1st team defense is leaking water everywhere. Ben looks like crap. Every single time he drops backs to pass, he is hesitant to throw the ball. He NEVER take his 5 step drop and releases. It's always wait, wait, almost throw it to somebody, wait, look to scramble. He had this probelm last year and it looks to have gotten worse. I'm sure Cowher has been in his ear non stop about not throwing interceptions and it has taken it's toll ont he kid's confidence and play making abaility. I got down on the Titans +7.5 weeks ago and the play looks better everyday. You can say it's just preseason, but that's crap. The team has been feelign the heat in the media and there's no doubt that in the last 2 games, they came out looking to prove to everyone (and themselves) that they could move the ball and they laid 2 huge eggs. They are going to struggle early in the season. No matter what happens in week 1, I will also be against them week 2 in Houston.

Come on Dante, you've been around too long to put any stock into preseason performances. I watched the game last night and their all pro line didnt protect Ben at all, several passes were dropped (one for a TD), and they had no running game to speak of. Cowher doesnt seem to be worried or he would have played him for longer than the 1st qt. If they dont score next week then I will start to panic. Big time. LOL
On a positive note, any of you non-Steeler fans can put down $ on the Steelers under 9.5 wins +115. (although this is physically impossible for me to, as I will be rooting against my boys all year....I have my ethics)

As for the article...Moats was picked to be a backup to Westbrook. He's very good in between the tackles and has a lot of strength in his legs. If Buck was healthy we wouldn't have needed to draft yet another down back but I think Moats would fit our offense just as well as anyone else we have.
We're not a typical 2 back offense and we never will be.
If we don't go 13-3 I'd be happy with 11-5 and a Super Bowl title thank you very much.
But we won't lose 5 games...I would take that to the bank.
