Well once again I drop below 100 units. No one ever said this game we call baseball is easy.LOL. At least we are real close to the century mark. I really feel like we will have a great September to finish the season. Lost a little less than 4 units yesterday.

(3)Arizona -103 $309 for $300 BW/JS Listed Pinnacle
(3)Braves -1.5 +106 $300 for $318 EM/TH
(3)Indians -109 $327 for $300 CCS/BR
(2)Angels -142 $284 for $200 PB/JM

Good luck

Good luck Choptalk.

I was just reading your remarks on the New Orleans disaster in the Offshore forum, it's amazing that you are even able to cap these games. It must be nice to have baseball to help get you through this. I salute you:103631605

Chop,

Offtopic in this thread.

Are cars able to drive through parts of New Orleans or only around the city? Where exactly did you drive around?

If you did drive near the city, you are a brave man.

You can not drive around New Orleans unless its an emergency vehicle. The only way you can get in is if you are working with The Red Cross or sending supplys or things like that. Like I said before, I work in the Gulf of Mexico and I had the chance to take a helicoper ride into the Gulf to inspect damage to all the oil platforms in the gulf that the company I work for runs. For some lucky reason the Gulf of Mexico is not nearly as bad off as many would think. Oil production should get back close to normal within the next 6 weeks. So I got to see alot of views from the sky. We checked out Hwy 23 witch is the road that goes from what was formally called Venice Louisiana all the way to Belle Chase witch is part of New Orleans. If anyone out there is familiar with Hwy 23. The entire bridge in Empire Louisiana is now gone.

At this point in the season it does not take very long to cap a game. I can pretty much cap the whole board in about an hour. Its my number vs the sportsbooks number. Find the games with the biggest differences and make your play.

Luckily for me, I was not effected by the storm directly. I live 2.5 hours from N.O. I know that sounds close but when you are talking about a tropical storm, 2 hours is a long way.Plus I live above sea level. I got about 50MPH winds max at my place with no property damage. The only effect the storm has had on me is my job which is located in that area and I have 2 close friends that I have not had the chance to speak to yet that live in New Orleans.

as soon as I get my pictures back that I took from my flight I will post them here for everyone to see. Most of the picures are inland Gulf of Mexico related but some of them I think you will find very interesting.

And from the sounds of it a class guy. Do you have a family? In times of real stress when I was young the ONLY thing I worried about was my kids. Sports is always a diversion, fun but 2nd to the safety of ones little munchkins. Hang tuff my man!! Oh and GO Angels.

2 kids Silver. No family in N.O. I do have a few close friends that I have not heard from yet. This does not mean they are dead, there is just no way to talk to them right now. I have to hope all is well with them until told otherwise. Thanks for the nice words Silver. Sports is indeed nothing more than a diversion. The only problem with that is I may lose my New Orleans Saints to this mess.:lolBIG: . I know they are losers but they are still my team.

Chop,

One last flood question.

What is your take on the levees that failed? I heard that there would have been significantly less damage had the levees worked.

Is there any word down there about how much less damage there would have been?

The levees did not fail. The levees were not designed for a cat5 storm. The cheap and shortsighted polititions in Louisiana did not want spend the money for a levy that would withstand a catagory 5 storm.
