There is a mute who wants to buy a toothbrush.
By imitating the action of brushing one's teeth,
he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is
done.

Now if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair
of sunglasses, how should he express himself?

I got it, but only after immediately thinking of 'motions' that might work. That is a good one as it shows how quickly the mind jumps to the wrong track and may stay on it....that's the truth with picking winners as well...my mind gets on the wrong track sometimes and without being careful I go the wrong direction. tulsa

many blind people wear sunglasses for some odd reason.

Well one reason because it avoids people making comments towards you since it wouldn't be hard to tell that a person is blind without the glasses

Many blind people have eyes open when awake naturally like the rest of us. Their eyes are many times milky (they are blind) and rather off-putting to anyone else that isn't ready. Sunglasses allow them to keep their eyes open and hide their affliction. tulsa

Screw it he should just make the motion of putting glasses on his face just for fun. Asking is just so blase.

And why does the mute need to make any motion, can't he just walk into the toothbrush aisle and pick out a Reach?

Yes, misdirection can be very powerful. Anyone involved in diagnosis, whether a physician, computer tech or engineer has to remain open minded and not let certain clues lead them to make increasingly more expensive investigations down a blind alley especially when cheaper tests can exclude other possible problems.
