SF -112 over AZ
Lowry/Vargas

I thought I would start another thread for Saturday just like the one for Friday.

Both teams have been winning games with these 2 pitchers. 7 out of the last 9 for Lowry (last 5 in a row) and 7 out of the last 10 for Vargas. There were some good comments made Friday about how close the pitchers were and I think those were valid points. I think those points hold true in Saturday's game.

However, I see the Giants showing more effort here. Perhaps they have a bit more momentum winning 5 out of their last 6 while the Dbacks have lost 3 in a row.

Any other thoughts?

That's the kind of feedback I'm looking for Maxxx. Thanks.

I'll try to cook up a couple totals for Saturday. No pressure! LOL!

Adding:

StL -106 over Hou
Clemens/Carpenter

I have to go with Carpenter here even against Clemens in this spot. The Cards are 23-4 when he starts. Houston has not been producing for Roger when he starts. Bounce-back game for StL.

I've been trying to bet fewer games but occasionally I feel I just get some clarity of vision and tonight is one of those times. Perhaps it's the beer.

Adding:
Cubs -153 over Pit
Zambrano/Williams
This is a case of Zambrano just being a better pitcher and Pitt has thrown in the towel.

Cubs/Pit over 7.5 -121
I can't see this one staying under 7.5 with Williams pitching.

LAD/Col under 11 +105
Houlton/Kim
Kim's games have gone 3-14 o/u when he starts. That includes 2-8 o/u at Coors. Neither team has scored much for these 2 pitchers.

A's -102 over Yanks
Small/Saarloos
Saarloos has been coming through for me.

Yanks/A's under 9.5
Saarloos is 4-16 o/u while Small is 0-4 o/u. This total has been inflated due to Oakland's output on Friday. That won't happen with these 2 pitchers. This is my Play of the Weekend.

Adding:

Det/CWS over 8.5 -108
Robertson/Buehrle
I'm taking another OVER in this series, especially with Robertson pitching. Robertson has had a few good games but they were against low-scoring teams.

SD/Mil over 9.5 +104
Williams/Obermueller
Both teams going OVER. Obermueller has gone over all 6 of his starts.

StL and Tex come through but the OVER for Det/CWS goes under by 1/2 run.

5-2 for the day so far.

Lowry was great in the month of August.

One inning into September and he's imploding.

Damn.

No wonder.

The freaking ceiling in Arizona is leaking...right onto the pitching mound!

And they expect him to just keep pitching. Wet spot right where the pitcher's plant foot goes. Horrible. And stupid.

Someone's pitcher might get seriously hurt.

Bos gives up 2 in the 9th to ruin my RL bet and Mil/SD goes under.

5-4.

Lowry gives up 3 in the bottom of the 1st to AZ. Let's hope they come back in this one.

And then they "clean up" the wet spot somewhat AFTER Lowry gets out of the inning and before their pitcher goes out. Garbage.
