Sorry TT, that sounds more painful than my meager bitterness towards a book.

That was a cheap shot on my part (it cost me a benji at the office)

BTW-Great to meet you in Vegas, thank GOD you had your other half with you...we probably would have had to leave a 5K bail deposit with the rest of the crowd at the Nug racebook!

Thanks TT, great to have met you too. Had a great time. Next year we'll keep a bondsman on retainer.

I dont believe it is not having confidence in the line managers, I believe it is whether they have enough line managers to watch the early/overnight lines :103631605

The phony books like BoDog have'nt a clue on how to book. They have to delay putting out a line and watch the real books like Olympic, CRIS, Pinnacle...etc., to see which teams are getting the money. They then post their dual lines, the sucker/loser line and the cloned line.

You don't need linesmen of your own if you wait and just offer market lines. Follow DB and other books lines, let the leaders lead. I'm OK with that , as long as non-leader book has a good payment record.

thanks guys for the info....I have always wondered why 99% of the books do not put there lines out instantly all at the same time..many vary all over the board

also one more question why do football ML's not go up the same time as Spreads most of the time?

Books aren't all going to come out with numbers at the same time because than it would be too easy for everyone to make money. The variations in the lines would cause many to go out of business. It's the easiest thing in the world now for books to clone lines and just keep it at that. It sucks now more than ever!!! I use to wait around the computer all day and get goosebumps just to see the variations in the lines. Now it's like you go to a stinking site and you know what the damn line is going to be before you even open the lines. Boring as hell i know but it gave me a chance to do different things in my life and not just watch lines 12 hours a freaking day.

obviously they like to wait to see which way the early movement is going to already adjust...it can be frustrating waiting for a line, this is one of the main reasons to have 3-4 books.

the money line may not change because the action isn't there ....money on the spread doesn't really affect the ml....money on the ml does...a fav -6 that goes to 6.5 does so because of money...the ml will stay unless they pound it there....at least that's what i've always been told.

It's all about exposure. CRIS, OLY, PIN and a few others don't mind the action. Other books, such as BoDog, WSEX, WWTS and a few others, wait until the number settles in, before they post their lines.
