Not usually a pick poster but...

I like the Giants -107. I was on Cain in his first major league start, and I was impressed with him. He pitched well against the Rockies, and the only reason they got the 2 runs they did was because of an umpire's non strike "because he's Todd Helton and you're a rookie" call that would have been strike three. Anyways, I wanted to know what the price would be on his next start. -107 seems really low to me. Not just because I thought he was good, but because he's up against Ortiz, and he's not had a good year and has a horrible ERA in his last 3.

Now, the Giants ARE the Giants, and they can tank job with the best teams in the league. So I'm not saying that this is a large wager, or even slightly larger than normal. Just saying that I think this game is worthy of a regular sized wager on San Fran, and I think they have the edge in pitching and price. And I'll be on them myself.

Again, not huge. Normal wager only. We'll see how Cain does his second time around.

Good luck to everyone!

Good info.

Thanks... I looked at the same line, and wondered how 'this kid' was not an Underdog against a Vet Pitcher..

These are good "intangibles" that often don't show up in the box score. Thanks for sending this along.

Matt Cain...103 pitches (37 balls, 42 strikes), 3 hits, 1 ER. Six batters had at one time 3 balls on him in the count (3-0, 3-1, or 3-2) and he only walked one of them.

And more about Matt Cain...

Todd Helton will remember his 14-pitch at-bat Monday night in Matt Cain's major-league debut. Helton fouled off eight consecutive 3-2 pitches and then flied out. "That kid's going to be a good pitcher with that kind of stuff," Helton said of the 20-year-old Cain. "Someday, I'll be saying to my grandkids, 'I had a 14-pitch at-bat against Matt Cain.'

And he's only 20 years old...Hope he lives up to all that potential.

Now come on bullpen!

as is usually the case LaToya is trying her best to blow this one - 2 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd w/Luis Gonzo up

will she keep the lead or not?

well - now it is Scott Eyre in instead of her so maybe we have a chance

3 outs to go and that son of a bitch Benitez is in there. I don't care who wins or loses as long as it doesn't go into extra innings.

I got the Under 10 for +108

Thanks Quantumleap.

I'd say Cain was as advertised (by me).

Remember this game/thread the next game line you see on him. We might still get another "good deal".
