Nothing worth posting last couple of days.Did hit the first NCAAF POD of the new season.Today it was a tough choice...liked Cleveland quite a bit but am going with:

Over 9 Chicago/Pittsburgh (E)

Lets begin with the pitching matchup:

Jerome Williams, overall this season his era is 5.20 and his season whip stands at 1.41.In his last 3 starts hes at 5.28 era and 1.43 whip.Kip Wells goes for the Pirates....he's slightly better overall statistically (4.66 era/1.48 whip) but not by much.In his last three starts his era is 5.02 and whip is 1.33.Both guys have less than a 2 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio (which is considered decent) and the avg total runs scored in each of their last 3 starts is 11.00.The BPs arent exactly bulletproof...the Cubs have leveled off a little but the Pirates BP have not been very good ,esp lately (7.41 era L5).Both teams have been swinging the bats...the Cubs a little better than the Pirates but Pittsburgh is coming off a really bad day offensively and may be able to score on Williams. The Cubs have been rolling lately hitting .291 and scoring 6.10 rpg over the last 10.Im not sure Wells is the guy to shut them down today.Im havent been impressed with either pitcher and the fact the ump BHP only calls strikes @ 70% isnt going to help them.Niether is the fact that even with the Pirates playing there PNC has been a good OVER ballpark all season.
