Look, it sounds like the general consensus here were Miami backers... And I'll tell you that you all were on the proper side of this game. Miami is a a TD better than FSU on a neutral field (and I really hope it doesn't come to it in the ACC Championship game) until FSU finds a QB. Wright is much more prepared than Weatherford is.
But at the matter at hand, Sims clearly got his helmet half knocked off, and he took it off the rest of the way. Should have he put it back on right away? Absolutely. But that would have been the ticky tackiest call you've ever seen and the entire stadium would have gone up in flames if that's why we lost.
But Miami holder: You HAVE to get that hold down. The snapper blew it, the holder blew it, and honestly, Peattie blew it for missing two kicks in the first half. Miami made too many mistakes to win this game. FSU simply made fewer mistakes.
You can't drop passes that should have been long gains or TDs, commit dumb penalties, blow timeouts, let your brand new starting quarterback get sacked EIGHT TIMES, miss two FGs, and botch a snap and expect to win @ Doak Campbell Stadium. This penalty had nothing to do with the outcome of this game. Miami fucked themselves.
