Pete Rose never even read a book! And if he did write one, it was ghost written for him. Of course neither of these facts disqualifies him from deserving to be in the HoF as the Hit King.

he wrote a book on how to play the game. a book for little leaguers. my dad bought it for me in 1980 when i was 12. i forgot what it was called but i read it like 16 times. i remember he told every kid to switch hit.

don gullet wrote the section on pitching.
