Or do you just pass on them...

Im talking about the games where teams are both WAY out of any contention for a Wildcard.

Surely there is no way to cap these as teams have given up for the most part?

one thing to remember is that there are jobs on the line, and those jobs are worth potentially multi-millions. for instance, i've been watching the rockies. sure they suck, are young and inexperienced, but they are busting their asses off. so it is with the other teams. the only way to look at the games is a straight handicap. but you really have to know the teams and players, and also try to figure out what management is trying to accomplish, even though there is no kind of pennant contention. no team just packs it in. there is always a bigger plan. so, dough plays a huge role & what the manager is trying to develop. the orioles want nothing to do w/sammy, raffy, and ponson, so they got on with their plan to try to develop something else. the o's suck, but they are still busting ass. there's millions & fame on the line.

some games you can find, if you have two solid pitchers going, or one team coming off a real bad loss, bullpen spent etc...some pitchers still care, even though their team isn't contending, its not that hard to find.

plus most teams are still somewhat alive, september is a good month for baseball.

A few games that come to mind are the games when Maddux starts for the Cubs. He needs 3 more wins for 15 wins for the 15th consecutive year+ and the Cubs will go all out to make sure he gets that.

Other teams who are still playing hard - Tampa, Milwaukee, Wash.

Teams the are mailing it in - Mets (outside of Pedros starts), Detroit, Baltimore, Pitt.

I'd lean to dogs in general, or pass, why lay chalk ? I'm fond of big road dog and over odd and a half parlays ( over 7.5 or 9.5), or home dog and under 9.5 parlayed. Borrowed from poster "Cutter" at Fezzik's site. I refine them furthur , butlook to bet these corelations, just not blindly.

I bet 5 inning lines, team totals, props, parlays ( not over 2 teams), as well as straight game and totals. My record sucks in tracker forum, but it seems whatever I post there loses and if I don't post it it wins !
