Buono deals with QB decision in Ottawa

Wally Buono has yet to decide on a starting quarterback as his B.C. Lions prepare to face the Renegades in Ottawa tonight (TSN at 7pm et/4pm pt).
Regular starter Dave Dickenson is nursing a mild separation of his non-throwing shoulder, and Buono is reportedly toying with the idea of letting him play against the Renegades. With Casey Printers also ailing, the Lions' other option is third stringer Buck Pierce, who looked good in relief of Dickenson two weeks ago when he salvaged a win over Saskatchewan.
"I can honestly say I don't know and I don't feel deceitful," Buono told the Vancouver Province Wednesday. "It's not a big deal. But I don't want to make a bad decision."
Whomever gets the call will be looking to help the 9-0 Lions equal a team record by going unbeaten in the first 10 games of a season. The 1964 Lions went 7-0-3. The Lions will also be looking to improve their all-time mark against the Renegades to a perfect 8-0.
There are other concerns for the Lions. In their last meeting against the Renegades, Ottawa end Anthony Collier beat B.C. tackle Cory Mantyka for a CFL-record-tying five sacks.
