Not me!

The PDT was so much better for me than this crazy EDT that its not even close!

Having NFL games on Sunday begin at 10AM instead of 1PM is just one glaring example!

How bout you posters?

It's all relative. Somewhere on Earth the sun is setting, elsewhere it's rising, at the same time. It matters to your schedule only

Interesting and very calculating theory, I think.

I'm central time zone and think that is perfect...think the west coast is too late and east coast way too early!

East coast is best though for those most interested in handicapping and holding down a day job. If you are an action junkie who wants to watch all your bets come in I suppose being out West is the best option.

We're definately spoiled out here on the west coast. Aside from the MNF time zone advantage, baseball viewing is great as we get all the later games at 7pm instead of 10pm eastern start times. I often think of the east coast viewers when I'm watching a game at 9:30pm here. How can east coast kids even become sports literate when so many games are on late?

Well down here the night game starts at 11AM and the bookies go to sleep just after I had my wheatbix.

I am fine with it, though I've never lived in another time zone...

West is best; I can't even imagine having to wait until noon for college and 1 pm for pro football. I'd almost be done drinking before it started.

Yes, central is about right. NFL starts right at noon. College foots generally begin at 11am. MNF at 8pm.

it is interesting how the same guy(sports fan) living on the west coast would lead his life and spend his time differently than if he lived on the east coast.

We definately have to wait on the action in the east, sometimes it would be nice to wake up and turn on a football game, but on the other hand , we in the east get more time to prepare for a day of betting on football.

Also, we get a chance to get our chores done and have something to work toward on gameday.

but it sure would be nice to be awake for the 4th quarter of MNF, but on the flip side of that, we can get some midnight action on the hawaii game, if we are going to be up and want to make a play.

interesting topic,
I have only experieced the EST, so I will truly never know what I might be missing

After a Friday night of boozing, how would I get up at 7am to watch pregame shows and 9am kickoffs?

nothing better then staying up for that 15 inning playoff marathon between two teams in the west.....game is usually over by 11 30 pm and u can still get in a good nights sleep.....while on the east coast u either have to stay up until 2 30....which is kind of cool in a way but then would have to get through the next day on little sleep or just miss a classic...

I'd hate to live on the east coast.....I can't imagine having to stay up until 1 or 2am to see the end of the Monday night shaftings.
