I just lost by going "All In" with two pair A's + K's after the turn. The idiot who beat me stayed in WITH A PAIR OF 6'S AND PULLED THE THIRD 6 ON THE RIVER!

With A's and K's on the table, how do you stay in with 6's???????????

i dont play online anymore for this very reason. bad beats happen in hold 'em. they happen in the live games and they happen online. but, they seem to happen online a bit too often for me to have enough confidence to keep playing.

It really makes you wonder. Aren't these the same crappy players you would meet in a casino?

If you were playing at any of the top sites, it's definitely not rigged. There is no logical reason for it to be rigged. Just keep getting your money in with the best of it, and you will win in the long run, just as you will with anything else.

Depending on pot size. the call doesn't seem way out there, but I'd have folded it. I don't get the guy that wins a big pot with something like 4-9 offsuit ( not in blinds), then folds pre-flop next hand. If you like 4-9 and win, what are you folding , next hand ?

Really? You would go in with that?

There were two people beside me and one dropped out. That's why I think it's a crazy play on his part. He had to know I had at least an Ace or a King raising against two people.

I lost at Doyles the other day....I was all in with trip kings....for like 80$ the other guy had AA the turn nothing the River took like 8 seconds to come up and it was an ACE...

the only card that could beat me was an Ace and it took 8 seconds for it to come up

makes you wonder at times to be honest if they are rigged to an extent

I can't see rigging it, unless it's to aid your own robots, or maybe prevent withdrawals ( fees). I'd be more worried about collusion.

Bad play should reward the better player in the long-term , and overcome the rake, to show a profit. That's the whole theory to even playing poker.

to me, its not so much a guy catching the miracle card on the river as much as it is the fact that big bets get called when they have no business staying in the hand...then the miracle card comes. it appears that, when the pot is big enough, they almost know what card is coming next.

it could just be bad luck that would even out over time but, i am not willing to chance it. not when i can beat the live game and do pretty well on sportsbetting.

i play only tourneys . mostly sit and go's .

i am starting to believe that the software is set up to read peoples hole cards before it " randomly " generates cards for the board.

example: 5 players at the table. i am big blind. blinds are 100 /200

everybody folds except small stack . he calls the blind. i check it.

i have Q / 3 . the flop comes Q K 3 . i make a small bet to see if he has a king. he does and goes all in. i call . rag , rag. i win his chips and he is gone.

this has happened a gazillion times.

the software reads hole cards..... creates action to weed players out..

go ahead and call me crazy...

Should be happy this type of player is in the game.

Exactly. That is why i stopped (For the most part) playing SNG's. When you get a bad beat in a tourney by some moron calling a huge bet with an inside straight draw there isnt much you can do unless you are able to track him down the next time he plays a tourney. In a cash game, you can always reload and get your money back (as long as the bad beat didnt put you on tilt)
