Under 8 is probably a good bet but that is not the interesting feature. I actually see 5 separate angles that all point to the Mets winning here. Has to be a small bet. Mets have not won here since 2002 so it is definitely risky business. It might be better to play Mets first half if I bet that will be my bet but today is actually a reasonable time to look at the Mets.

it's their best shot at a win in a week. They've been facing a torrent of nasty pitching that's been making them look bad. If they can't beat suppan, stick a fork in 'em!

The bet is not any slap at Suppan. My results have been very good this year with the cardinals. I have lost the last 2 times I have bet against the Cardinals and in both of those games neither the Cardinals or my team scored in the first 6 innings. Not today. I know that this game is Not the one that the Cardinals are focused on and it would be more convenient for them to lose it but I am not going to risk a complete no show by the Mets. I have made a conventional bet on the game under 8 plus 6 cents but I have also taken the Mets plus .5 and plus 2 cents for the first half and I am Not wrong about its lack of interest to them. This is a team that due to its extreme lead has no need or interest in extended winning streaks and they will regularly dump games. But Sunday is a command performance and they have to show up at least for Mulder and Carpenter in the next series vs a team they have been hostile with Pitt. The next series after that they rematch with the Cubs who they really owe a sound beating. This is just about the only game they can take off for a long time. By the way in game four they stink after a win but are 2-0 after a loss. Why do they have to show up tommorow? Since the end of the World Series last year they have been finding and pulping the Boston pitchers they faced in that series. Pedro goes tomorrow vs their only real junk pitcher Morris. This team wants Him. The Mets proper and Steve are nothing to them. But I have learned from those two losses. If this is another 0-0 after 5 number like them I just cashed. Repeating my two bets here are under for the game 8 total and Mets first 5 plus .5 and 2 cents. GL

I'm a Mets fan and have been dong very well both on and against the Mets in the 2nd half. I think you're on the right side today. Good luck.

End result is I win 12 dollars with plus 6 cents on the under, side losing. Funny, you could cash the first half with the Mets both of the first 2 games but not today. :icon_conf
