Brunell named starter for Redskins

Gibbs just named Brunell his started for the MNF Dallas game next week.

If the Redskins score an offensive TD that game I'll be very surprised. Brunell sucks.

heard good things about Brunell in practice, expected he might win the job initially. 6 pts is very generous next Monday. Washington could make the playoffs.

Brunell is a bum, he can't throw the ball more than 5 yards.
For some reason Gibbs is madly in love with him though. As a longtime Skins fan, I'm frustrated beyond belief now.

I just don't get it. Skins dedicated the entire summer and preseason to Ramesy and they pull him after one quater b/c he is hurt for a play?

Brunnel is the only back up to pass for 70 yards and win a starting job. My god he has at least a few games in which he has not passed for over 100 yards.

Just put in JC the rookie the season is over.

I never thought i would say this but screw Gibbs...

I'm not pleased to say the least, but I still love the Skins and will pull for them every week. I'm a fan of Brunell but Ramsey got the shaft, and anyone that's seen him play knows he possesses all the skills and tools to be a successful NFL QB. He got fucked by Gibbs...
I still think Brunell can win in this league, but on the road vs. Dallas is a tough first start to prove it...Portis better show up, or we'll go back to last year's average of 10-23, 70 yards, 2 INTs...or somethin like that.

I still want them to win. I just feel Ramsy gave them a better shot to get the offense going. The brunnel experiment already failed badly last year.

I will take the erractic interceptions and fumbles but cannot watch Brunell throw ducks all day. I watched it the entire first 1/2 of last season...

This team will remain in the shitter as long as Snyder and Gibbs remain in charge.
Scouting and personnel evaluation are horrendous. With glaring needs at D-line, they draft a QB, 2 FB's, and a LB that they cut.
Terrible cap management, no WR's over 6 foot tall, and a QB contreversey with a has-been, and an unproven, unconfident, soon to be journeyman.
If this team succeeds, it will succeed despite management, not because of it.
