Will the goals scored in the shootout count towards a players goals total for the year? I would imagine that this could add up if you went into a lot of shoot outs and were a regular shooter?

The stats don't count for anything in the minors, not for the shooters or the goalies.

Definitely not, as far as player\goalie scoring goes, the game is over when it goes to a shootout.

No way can they count them.. They should, and most likely will keep it as an added stat.
