Why is this total only 8.5?

Chicago vs. Kansas City

Dowdy is behind the plate: 1.6 WHIP (above average), 7 BB (above average) and 11 K (below average) per game.

White Sox average 4.7 runs per game, and 5.0 against left handed starters

Kansas City averages 4.3 runs per game, and 4.5 against righties

Howell's ERA is 6.6 overall, 4.5 in the last 3 BUT it is 8.6 at home

Garcia is decent, but still has a 4.95 ERA in his last 3 games

Kansas City is the home team while Chicago is favored heavily, so the chances of seeing the bottom the 9th being played his high, and that is worth an extra half of a run.

The bottom line is that with with two pitchers who are not known to strike people out, and an umpire with a small strike zone, I can't see how anyone could play this game UNDER.

I played it OVER 9 (+118) at Pinnacle. I will risk the push for the 24 cents in juice that I save.

This is BY FAR my biggest play of the year. I played 10 units on the over thinking the line would go up and I would buy 7-8 units for a siding and a scalping chance on the same play but SOMEONE WAS POUNDING THE UNDER and the line dropped by 11 cents so I just stuck with it.

4-3 in the 3rd inning. I REALLY need this play. Greed and bad money management put me in this spot.

Thanks, but to be honest, it was good handicapping, but a BAD play and BAD money management. This loss could have wiped out everything I made in a week.

I rarely post my plays because I don't want people to follow me and lose, but this one just stuck out like a sore thumb and so I shared.
