What is this B/S that the NFL has mandated a policy that all persons attending a NFL game is subject to a pat down of their person?
I just received an E-mail from Buccaneers.com as a reminder to their season ticket holders that NFL has the right to pat down all game goers and that it will slow down the flow of going into the gates and cause wait times and fans are advised to start early.
Who the hell does the NFL think they are? You dont get pat down at the airport and that is runned by the Federal agency TSA!!! I am no liberal, but that is against your civil rights and this stupid policy needs to be revoked. I am outraged!!!
Please tell me, if I am missing something from this, because this is the first time I heard of this happening and I am shocked that the NFL can do this!

If its anything like the shake down that goes on at airports, you may want to stay home unless Fish is doing the patting at the gate.

Coach sent his resume to the Bucs personnel office.

Last team to comply....

TAMPA Bucs fans headed to the season's first home game Sunday should prepare to be patted down for bombs and big weapons by security guards.

After weeks of wrangling, the Tampa Sports Authority voted Tuesday to comply with an NFL mandate and adopt a pat-down policy at Raymond James Stadium for the 2005 season. The TSA had balked at the NFL's order after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, owned by billionaire Malcolm Glazer, said they wouldn't pay for more security guards needed to conduct the searches.

Tampa is the last NFL city to fall in line with the league's new pat-down policy, a security measure that league officials say is necessary to prevent terrorist attacks.

For now, the taxpayer-funded TSA plans to pay for the pat-downs -- an estimated $9,500 per game or about $75,000 for the eight-game regular season. But sports authority members say they expect the issue of who will pay the final tab to end up in court.

During Tuesday's meeting, sports authority board member Bob Buckhorn compared the Bucs to a bully for not paying for the extra security mandated by the league.

"We're not going to roll over," Buckhorn said, noting it's important to "draw the line in the sand."

Buckhorn's comments highlighted an emotional two-hour session for the sports authority, a state-created public agency charged with managing the Bucs' home stadium.

Thus, no more PIRATE knives at BUCS games one would think.

Can you imagine the poor soul that has to pat down the HOGS at RFK?

Will every Cheeshead be x-rayed in Green Bay?

OMG, how bout the shakedown/Patdown in the RAIDERS CRYPT with all those goofy baffoons?

By the way, DOES THIS HAVE ANY BEARING ON THE POINTSPREAD since the homefield advantage will be tampared with in a way?

After having to take my shoes off for the first time at the airport, this is child's play.

Take my shoes off?! I thought you only had to do that at nice people's homes upon request and sushi bars in Japan.

That is in case you have metal supports in you shoes, for example Rockports do and some athletic shoes as well.
