Sunspot 798/808 flared twice more yesterday, and at least one of the X-class explosions propelled a coronal mass ejection (CME) toward Earth. NOAA forecasters estimate a 70% chance of severe geomagnetic activity when the CME arrives--perhaps tonight, Sept. 14-15. Sky watchers at all latitudes should be alert for auroras.

Northern Lights look amazing...something I definitely want to see in person before I die. Which will probably be tomorrow because I just said that. Sweet.

Too funny, I saw this thread title in the forum overview screen and I said to myself "looks like something has to be moved to the rubber room" . .Becuase I figured it was someone really blasted on strong pot or something.

Then I open it and I just see it is TinTinCO overdosing on his smart pills.

Saw an excellent shot from the local TV weather forecast, taken last night at around 52 degrees North.

I was driving through North Dakota late at night about 5 years ago in the middle of no where and out of the blue there was a fantastic display of northern lights going on. It almost looked like a city with lights in the horizon. Kind of like a huge lit up ice castle with all different colors. It was very memorable. If you get a chance to seem northern lights take advantage of it!
