Yesterday was one of the toughest losses this entire season for me.Ive had a couple of bad beats lately but that ones tough to take.Seems like flipping a coin may be a better way to go these days...LOL.I digress....

Today Mets (Seo) -140

Ill rationalize although who knows if any of it will even matter....

Hernandez/Seo......Start with Jea Seo,he is 4-0 at home (NYM 5-0 in his home starts) with a measly 1.35 era and a whip of .900.Opponents are only avg. 2.20 rpg in these contests. He's is striking out 5 batters for every 1 he walks at Shea. Vs the Nats this year in NY, Seo is 2-0 while only giving up 1 ER in 14 ip.His L3 are decent and the Mets are 7-1 in his L7.Hernandez started strong this year but has faded and become more inconsistent lately. He's got a good road record but his stats are not stellar. The Nats hit much better on the road so theyve been able to overcome some less than impressive perfomances from Livan away from home.Hernandez seems to walk quite a few batters in fact his SO:BB ratio is less than 2.Hes already been blown up by the Mets in Shea this year (8/20 8ERs) and the Nats are only 4-9 in his L13 starts. One other angle is day game performance:

Seo: 4-0 , .950 era, .850 whip and 0 HRs in 28 day IP.
Hernandez: 6-3 , 4.02 era, 1.52 whip and 8 HRs in 62 day ip.

The BPs lately have reversed roles as the Mets ,whos BP was abismal for most of the season has put together and ERA of 2.70 over their L10.The Nats however have stumbled a bit from thier normally bulletproof status and have an era of 3.92 over the same period. Not to mention the best long man on the Nats will unavailable today (Majewski).

The Offenses on these teams have incredibly similars stats.Home/Away, Overall,L vs R....but one category presented a significant egde....Day games. In day games this year the Mets hit @ .279 and score an avg of 4.9 rpg while the Nats hit .243 and avg only 3.9 rpg.Add to the equation the Mets play much better at home (41-29) and only one other team has swept them all season at Shea (Cinci-Opening series of the year).

The Mets struggles have brought this line to my max for a ML but it seems like a fair line and Im on it.

GLTA.
