I have to say Tommy Maddox for pitt...the Guy is a Grade A POS:drink: he makes the statue of Liberty in NY harbor look like she is Michael Vick moving around

Let's not forget that Kordell Stewart just signed with the Ravens.

Maddox is not a bad backup at all. He did a decent job as a starter before BIGBEN came along. Maddox is closer to the top of the list than he is the bottem IMO.

I agree with Choptalk. In fact I think the Steelers have two quality backups in Maddox and Charlie Batch. I thought they would probably trade one of them. Maybe still will as several teams need QBs.

Maddox is definitely one of the better backups in the league. He obviously struggles with the pass rush but if he is given time, he can pick a defense apart. Streaky player though that runs hot and cold.

I think Batch is MUCH, MUCH better as he can elude the rush ...

What about the COWBOYS with Drew Henson & Tony Romo . Parcells has no confidence at all in Henson as he either really sux or is not Parcells' kind of player or a combination of both . Have a few "friends" who are closer to the situation than me & they say Parcells would have already cut Henson except 4 Jerry Jones, the money they've invested & the 3rd round pick they traded to Houston to get him . Romo has never played 1 minute of NFL regular season football , even last year when the COWBOYS were really sorry . Parcells still never let Romo play 1 minute .Does that show confidence in a player or what ?

In the last 20 years who are the backup QBs who took over the starting job early in the season because of an injury to the original starter & led their team to either the Conference Finals or the Super Bowl ?This is such an overlooked position by most teams. Think overall, football coaches are too narrow minded & play not to lose too much instead of playing to win & need to be more aggressive in their game plan & decision making .

What's the score with Baltimore ? Their Coach was supposed to be an offensive genious but he never has had an offense or a QB there that really blew people away .Their D was what carried their Super Bowl squad . What happened to Kordell Stewart ? Early in his career he was a great weapon as SLASH but then he never could handle the full time roll . Why not move him back to a SLASH role as some people can't handle being the main man. Think Jacksonville should start out using Matt Jones this way but think he may surprise people & become a NFL caliber QB in several years .This guy has skills, size & is very competitive . & fuck no I'm not from Arkansas .Peace

Detroit Lions, hands down. They have Dan Orlovsky as their backup qb now that Garcia is out. Oh and lets say Harrington and Orlovsky both go down in the same game...then WR Kevin Johnson is the emergency qb.
