This will be my first and probably only Double Killer Play in Baseball this year but feel extremely confident on this one.
Take the Cardinals -125 or runline -1.5 +125 (your choice) vs Cubs with Morris going up vs Rusch. Tony Larussa like past years does not accept division clinchers or allow his team to without doing it on the field. The magic number is one but in division tiebreakers now they go with best head to head record which is why it is officially over. I guarantee Cards have not popped the champagne yet and will only do so with next win. Rusch pitched well last outing vs Cards but he won't do it 2 times in a row. On the other hand, Morris has been pitching poorly lately but with Suppan and Marquis pitching lights out, Morris' spot in playoff rotation is being questioned and publicly in St. Louis Post Dispatch by Bernie Misklaz. I see a very strong performance today by Morris with wind likely blowing in with overcast and possible rain in forecast as Cubs bats will be silenced. Larussa also is not happy with Cards performance vs Cubs this year and will not lay down. They may be great fade tomorrow but trust when I say they will take care of business today in a game around 5-1 score as Cubs at home have been under .500 while Cards road record best in baseball. Walker and Edmonds may rest today with Sanders and Taguchi in though Sanders may be held out due to dampness of field to prevent Eli Marrero type injury and if he does expect Edmonds to play but ow Cubs bats not enough as they are now packing it in. Cards win convincingly to win it on the field and pop the bubbly!
