Callahan & his failing attempt to get the west coast offense to work at Neb.

It will be interesting to see if he the AD make it past the end of the season.

Why go to Nebraska when one can go to Iowa?

Iowa is now the offensive line factory, not Nebraska.

Callahan is running a passing offense with players that were recruited for a running team. I say give him this year and next to prove his point.

This is his first year of having "his own" recruiting class, and he may have buried himself by promising big things this year.

I'm not sure if he'll get the chance to prove himself next year, but if they're this far into the debacle, they might as well stick with it & see if he can do something once they get a couple years under their belts.

Former coach(and hometown favorite) Solich who is now at Ohio U beat Pitt 16-10 as a 14 point dog, and you can be damn sure that everyone in Lincoln in well aware of it.

That song and dance 'they're not his players' is getting old.

I believe that the seniors were not recruited by him. They were recruited for their experience with the running game.

Does anyone have a mix of seniors/non-seniors on offense?

Osbourne left therefore there were no more criminals recruited thus no offense.

Ever since we beat them 41-7 on national television in Happy Valley they have been a shell of their former selves.

As a Nittany Lion alum I would have to say it's too sweet (sorry TT!)

If I want to see that offense that Nebraska showed today, I'll watch the Bears tomorrow instead.

The Big 12 North is a step above the MAC. Bowling Green, Toledo, and Miami OH have as much talent as anyone in the North.

He is the fool for coming in and insisting he would make them that sort of offense. Its not just the players he has, but the players in the areas the Huskers recruit from. Midwestern schools are usually running the ball. To get the type of offense Callahan wants, they have to go out and recruit from CA and FL, something they haven't done too well in the past for obvious reasons. My high school quarterback, the state leader in passing yards in California, got talked into going to Lincoln by Osborne, then got sat out of most of the drills as the Huskers just kept the same offense. Sort of like Troy Aikman in Norman. He ended up getting in trouble and getting kicked off the team after being relegated to 4th stringer. This for a guy that got offers from both Miami and Notre Dame when those two schools were at the top of the polls.

These guys can try all they want to change, but its not going to happen IMO. They should accept the limitations of location and get on with it. If Callahan can't accept that he should indeed be shown the door.
