I'm bummed and sick about losing this one, but my opinions haven't changed. BC's QB getting hurt killed any chances they had of winning this game. The costly mistakes kept FSU in the game, when it should have been long over at halftime. BC's coach is a retard, and proved that the end of the game, with the worst management of a team I've ever seen. But overall, BC is a much better squad, and I'll fade FSU any day of the week. Nevertheless, this hurts, and I hadn't been this confident in awhile.

Congrats. But they shut them down because BC had a QB with a broken leg, and then a 2nd stringer who had never played before and was obviously not ready. So don't get too high on your very mediocre team that isn't gonna do shit this year.
PKJ- FSU shut down BC on 6 of 6 drives that occured before Porter was Injured. They Obviously adjusted to what BC was doing. Please don't try to bring that Bullshit. BC was stopped long before Porter was injured (6 Consecutive drives). He couldn't even convert after starting in Florida State territory, to start the second half. All of BC's td's came after starting inside FSU territory.
FSU's offense scored 21 Points, BC Scored 17. Both scored a Td off a sudden change from a turnover. Drew Finished the Game 14-18 for 182 and a TD, after starting slow, in his first road start. They made adjustments, thats what good teams do. This game could have easily ben uglier, if not for some dropped passes (definately part of the game, and no excuse) by the young FSU recieving core.

Am I reading all these posts? How many times are people going to talk about looking like the better team? What the fuck? The team lost by 11 points. They didn't do dick in the 2nd half. They were home and had that going for them and played well for about a half. Then they shit the bed...More excuses made for this team then I know what to do with. They aren't a better team, they lost and if that one TD(fumble) in the 2nd half had stood, this would've been a woodshed game....Wake up.
IF you are responding to my post - you misread or misinterpreted it and even if you aren't you should settle down. I said that FSU picked BC apart once they figured out how to attack BC's big line. BC did look like they were going to dominate the game going into the half but FSU made adjustments and deserved to win...as I said fun game.
14-0 right off the bat or it could have been a woodshed game the other way. Total net yards: BC: 380 FSU 256. 1st downs BC 24 FSU 14. Yards rushing BC 140 FSU 14! It was 17-14 BC in the 4th when Porter went down. Like I said, the 2 interceptions/tds in the 1st quarter and the QB getting injured was the difference in the game.

this whole thread is sad. Must be made from people who had money on Miami at FSU and compounded the error by taking BC tonight. Florida State is WAY better than given credit for. They are now 3-0 versus the spread. ( Spread for The Citadel game in between Miami and BC games was FSU -46 and FSU won 62-10)

Illini, unfortunately you are greatly underestimating Florida State this season. I suggest you re-evaluate who they have beaten ( two top 20 teams) with a QB that is learning on the job and is the only weakness of the squad.
At least, he was the only weakness. He clearly gained confidence in the second half and put up very good numbers for the game.
Florida St is 3-0 vs. the spread and is only headed upwards with a more confident and seasoned freshman QB.
