Even worse then Lou......Desmond Howard

Nick Lachey? What is he even doing there? Nick just bring your wife out PLEASE.

I want to add that Trev was a super tool...but Holtz is way past his prime...whenever his prime was.

Lou was past his prime when he was head coach of the Jets.

3 yards and a cloud of old must....the best he could do at Notre Dame;

Here is a typical call for ND inside 3 yard line...

ND handoff up the middle -no gain
ND handoff up the middle- no gain
ND handoff up the middle -no gain

ND 20 yard FG

He did win a National Championship at ND, and was screwed out of 2 others.

I have no problems with Lou. They could have done much worse - tho he is obviously biased towards ND and S Car, but then again Trev was big time biased towards the big 12 so we are even.

Trev's "angry man" act was wearing a little thin, if you ask me. AMF.

It was just that wasn't it!

:lolBIG:

Probably the reason I liked him so much, other than the fact I usually agreed with him 97% of the time.

Holtz, another ex-Golden Domer to be an analyst. Bob Davie and back in the 70's and 80's Ara Parsiegian (sp). When will Gerry Faust be on the mike?

ESPN seems to promote itself

as being FOR the well being of college football.

And they hire Lou Holtz? A person who left allegations of cheating in his wake every time he exited a NCAA program whether it be Arkansas, Minnesota, Notre Dame or South Carolina?

Holtz is obviously not sitting on the ESPN set because he's a "throat," he's there because of his name and the fact he won a lot of football games.

However, I find it odd that ESPN (and other somewhat-balanced media outlets) have excused Holtz for his well-deserved reputation.

He does not look like a black hat and seems like a decent guy, but the record speaks for itself. On the original note, I didn't always agree with Alberts, but he brought something to the table rather than just a smile and a spew of B.S.

The 2-for-1 swap of Holtz and Howard for Alberts is a disservice to college football fans.

Good luck this weekend,
Paul

Didn't Trev basically walk off & get canned after basically being turned into an errand boy for Berman & Co?

I refuse to listen to Lou Holtz-couldn't stand the guy before he was 1/2 senile, let alone now.
