In the Packers/Cleveland game........Cleveland trying to run out the clock, gets a first down with about 2:30 left in game.....Green Bay has one time out left....

So Cleveland runs the ball, and the packers DON'T call timeout.....So the 2 minute warning will stop the clock.....Then according to plan, they will run the second down play, Green Bay will call time out, then the 3rd down play, and run clock from about 1:50...........

If they had called the timeout before the 2 minute warning, then they would have run the 2nd down play, then the clock stop with 2 minutes, and then run 3rd down, and clock runs from 2:00.......It seems as if Green Bay gave up about 10 seconds for no reason.....You KNOW you are gonna use the timeout, why not get another play in before the warnning?

As it turns out, Cleveland scores on a big pass, but they didnt know that would happen, and it seems as if that is the wrong move, with 1 timeout left.....

Standard clock mismanagement. Most coaches fail miserably in this area.

It always happens too. Its so frustrating every game to watch the coaches allow those 5 secs to run off until the 2 minute warning. Mathmatically they should ALWAYS try to call a timeout before the 2 minute warning but they dont. Its ridiculous!
