On the road, in a major conference game, against a top 25 team and they are over 3 touchdown favorites. Don't think I have seen that in a while.

U.S.C. is soooooooo good, it isn't that fun to watch. Unless you're on the Trojan Horse and they're riding high.

They are good. No surprise here. @Ore, @ASU, @ND, @Cal, maybe UCLA. They still have some tough games in there but no true top notch defense that can test them.

Just one reason why Sunday afternoons are made for hitting NCAAF openers instead of watching this NFL BS.

USC actually went DOWN from 19.5 to 19 for a while Sunday at Oly.

Good...damn good. Don't see anyone stopping them unless some major injuries hit them.

We'll see, they do have several guy out this week on defense with injuries. They have played two teams with poor defenses and new QB's.I don't think USC's defense is as good as last year's. They stuggled in a couple games last year and I think they may stuggle a little this week facing a good QB on the road.

They do look GREAT though.

i remember a game in 1985 or 1986 when nebraska was -80 points and covered. mike rozier had like 350 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns or something. crazy.

You're kidding right? The media just loved Osborne too much. Penn State would have definitely beat them silly in their first title year, but everyone felt sorry for Osborne. The other year Michigan was about even with them, yet somehow 12-0 in the Big 10 ain't worth nothing when you have the media in love with you.

That squad would have been beaten by this current SC team pretty easily IMO.

he'd be an idiot to do so. he is a GOD here in L.A. and this team is LOADED for YEARS to come. they have the top players at every position and the backups would be good enough to start at over 75% of all D1 schools. he gets time off to enjoy himself during ncaa "dead" periods while the NFL is a 24/7/365 job. the extra money he gets won't be worth the hassle although if someone presented me a 5 year AT LEAST $25M contract tough to pass that up.

Nebraska was one field goal away in the Orange Bowl on 1-1-94 from having 3 out of 4 years of being undefeated. You can't explain that away by saying people felt sorry for Osborne. That's even debatable for that one year but that doesn't take away from the other 3 years.

In 1995 the closest a team finished in score was within 14 points. The average score was 53 to 14.5 including a 62-24 rout in the Orange Bowl against undefeated Florida. The 1995 team was voted by more than 1 poll as the best college football team ever.

A friend of mine has a son who plays club football against Pete's son's team during the summer. Pete has a chance at that time to take in his son's games. Look for his son to be a good QB for Peninsula this year.

The 95 team was the only one that would be within 2 TDs of last year's SC team. Sorry but that team last year was filthy. Just imagine if they didn't disqualify Mike Williams. The others for the Huskers were overrated, the media loved them. They might have deserved co-national champs in the other two years, but sorry can't say that team deserves mention with the others IMO.
