AJ Burnett vs Kris Benson
Wow this is a interesting line eh? One team is in the thick of a playoff race & the other? Well...the mets.
Most of these lines tonight, the playoff contender is about a 2-1 favorite. Red Sox, Astros, Yanks, A's. The hot tribe is a dog, another good idea.
Anywho, Marlins got the best value overall against their respective team on the playoff card tonight. Yes, yes, Burnett has looked like doggie doo doo. But so has Benson! & the Mets, although they're gonna put up a battle, they don't got nearly the talent of the Marlins, player for player. Fundamentally, this game is a bigger mismatch than the line is reflecting, particularly for September. The line is set on the pitching, but i'll take the Marlins even money over the Mets in September any day of the week!!!
Look at it this way. If you're gonna bet a CONTENDER, 'cause they GOTTA WIN, at least if the marlins bet folds, you LOSE THE LEAST JUICE!!!
Remember the following words for september profits: METS SUCK!!!

PS Mets 4-13 in SeptemberIf there's a series Fish gotta take, it's this one.
& Burnett will be their best starter of the three...

wishin the fish would put up more runs given the way burnett is hurling

every time fish put up a run, Metsies answer.
2-2 going to 8, now i'm nervous. Hate being extra inning road team!
Man i had my finger on Shilling -9 but i took this nail biter instead....great.

PS the umps are calling a TERRIBLE game. Missed out on Floyd at second in the 7th, a couple strange calls at the plate.
but i got fish facing victor zambrano now...GO FISH!!!!

play of the game just happened...fish got leading run called out at plate thanks to throw by floyd. bottom of order coming next inning.
It's possible, its probable...i'm gonna get CORNHOLED

what a FUDGE PACK
Burnett tosses a gem & they lose.
That home umpire called probably the worst strike i've ever seen in MLB, a strike call at least a foot inside the plate against Mets. Didn't effect game, but WTF?
Fish don't try to steal off Piazza with lead runner on first top 12? why not???
how many times moehler throws the same pitch to the mooch that beat us, eventually he'll turn on it...

you're right bigshot, so many chances to win, hard to swallow the loss.
worst is how i had shilling -9 on the trigger, held off to lay this egg.
argggghhh!!!

Oh well, lots of ammo to fight another day.

THe call at second base in the 7th inning was one of the worse I have ever seen. It killed the whole game. Then Floyd throws the guy out at the plate to end the inning.
