It is incredible how Boston media/fanbase are reacting toward fact that Yanks are creeping up on Sox... why is it that everyone, mostly, was of the opinion that the AL east would be decided in 3 game set in final weekend at Fenway. What is going on here? Back in April if you told Boston fans that come mid-september the Sox/Yanks would be neck'n neck heading down stretch nobody would think otherwise. So now that it is indeed the case you have nothing but worried fans all over fearful that Yanks are going to sting them again.
This kind of confirms my suspicion that Red Sox fans as a whole secretly enjoyed being that tough-luck bridesmaid for so many years. I see nothing that makes me feel otherwise. Without namedropping, there are many media types locally who are officially dismissing the Red Sox. One thing is true, they do not have a bullpen. Only positive in that dept. is fact that Timlin is fine to come in to start a late inning but with inherited baserunners he ain't getting it done. Foulke or someone else has to step up. Even with that aspect, their bats can get so hot that they can carry sub-par pitching.
I have not posted at the Rx in years and I notice alot of fellow Bay-Staters here -- am I accurate here or full of....beans?
