BETUS/OMNI-nightmare book

Back in Nov. 2004 I was in the hospital almost dead.I had about 60 grand in my Betus account. I had about a 15% chance of living and realizing this I didnt want my $ in the account to go to waste. I called Betus and spoke to Robert Eddy who advised me to have my fiance fax a letter written by me stating that I wanted her to have access to my account and any funds in it, in the case of my death. I wrote this letter, put my acct. #, signed it, and followed all of Roberts instructions to the tee. My fiance sent it and I told her to call and ask Robert if it arrived and was satisfactory. He told her yes and all was fine. After I pulled through the illness, I called Betus and asked if they received the letter, and I was told yes but I didnt sign it. I had saved a copy and it was indeed signed. When I confronted Robert with this, he said that the signature was scribble. Since Betus had a copy of my D.L., they knew it matched. Betus was caught in a lie and obviously had no intentions of paying my fiance had I died. I dont think it would be a stretch to say that Betus was hoping that I died so they would not have to pay out the 60 grand.
Before I had gone to the hospital, I had put in a 6 team open teaser for 7 grand. The payout being 49 grand. I had 2 winners prior to going to the hospital with 4 open spots. I was told that I had until the end of the season to close this bet. Once out of the hospital, I got a call from Betus to tell me that they were now giving me just 2 more weeks to complete this teaser. There were still 6 weeks left in the season. I had just had 4 open heart surgeries so I really didnt give a shit about money or in the mood to argue with them about Betus changing the rules on me. I nailed 2 more spots and had 2 left when they call again and say that they want me to fill the spots that weekend. They were trying to rush me and clearly changing what I was originally told and later told. I hit it anyways with my last pick being New England -1 against the Ravens.

I now wanted nothing to do with them and they knew it. I called to take my money out after meeting all rollover requirements with ease. I was given a 4.5 rollover. At this time I was told that they might change my rollover because I was not a recreational player. Keep in mind that I had made 6-8 large deposits over the last 6-9 months and had always bet the same(big).
I am now being told that I need to rollover my $ 10 times or lose my 7000$ bonus. When I ask why they tell me that I had an account at Omni and therefore should not have received a bonus. Again, I had made 3-4 deposits at Betus and Omni both, with bonuses, and was told nothing as I lost. I also let them know that when I switched to Betus,using the same name, I told the customer service guy that I was also at Omni and want to make sure this is ok. He checks with his supervisor (he says) and gives me the ok. "we are under separate ownership" he asys. I tell him I dont want any problems with the bonus if I win and he again tells me that its fine, dont worry. As long as I meet the 4.5 rollover. He insists that we are being recorded just in case.

Thinking that I have no recourse, I agree to the 10 time rollover, not wanting to lose my 7000$ bonus. After meeting the 10times and losing about 40-50 grand, I again ask for my $. Robert now tells me that they are taking my bonus anyways. Robert says,"why should we give it to you? youre never gonna play here anyways." I tell Robert that Im gonna call OSGA. He says go ahead. Jim from osga sends Betus an email and 5 minutes later Robert calls to say Betus will pay me as long as I retract anything I posted about the situation. Since I had no knowledge of the forums I had nothing to retract.
What blew me away the most was Robert saying "why should we pay you? youre never gonna play here again." No shit Robert. And I didnt know that when I signed up with Betus/Omni I was agreeing to spending the rest of my life with them. What a joke.
I know a lot of you are going to say here we go again. I seek nothing from this except to get the word out about this place. This happened right before I was referred to Royal. Not a good year.

Just to make it clear, this is the exact post I made at major wager the other day and the major got rid of it and then went on to say that I was making up the same story about betus/Omni that I made up against Royal. It is obvious that we are talking about two completely different events. I think it would be pretty difficult to have such details if it were made up. Anyways the only thing that was made up about Royal was the tapes. Royal admitted to not sending me my legitimate payout requests. Instead they lied to me for two months by saying they were on the way. This is fact that Royal never denied and that is why they were willing to pay me 20 grand even after I lost it back. I wish somebody would pull up that post from Royal in which they admitted to lying and agreeing to pay me anyways. Paste it on one of the Royal threads for all doubters to see.

David1, are you saying MajorWager is deleting posts that are warning bettors to stay away from crooked sportsbooks? You don't think its because these crooked books have found a home over there do you?

Thanks for sharing your testimonial. There are so many more stories out there that have never hit the forums because many people don't know about the forums. These crooks advertise all over the place to lure in mainstream America, the ones suseptible and defenseless to their cons. If that little pvssy Howard Speilman aka Joe Rizzo would ever show his face in Vegas with me knowing I would beat the living shit out of him and then post the pictures of the aftermath here at the RX.

MFG, I couldnt agree more. It sounds like they did nearly the same thing to both of us. We are both talking about 25 grand. I gues that is their cutoff and where they begin to say "how can we get out of paying this winner". Just like Royal, this place just doesnt stand for serious winners. It cracks me up when people say that Royal or Betus/Omni "paid me". Thats because you won less than what is significant. I guess we have to somewhat blame ourselves for not doing more research on the books we play with. All we can do now is pay them back. I know I will never stop thinking of ways to hurt these books. I would like to talk with you. Maybe we can put some ideas together. I obviously cant put my info. here but I can send you an email with my info. Lets get these weasles back. I hate them more than you bro.

MFG, I just read that Betus wants you to send like 40 grand in order to somehow get your money back. In no way would I tell you what to do or what not to do, but I hope you are not going to send them more $. Please use a third party. They are completely untrustworthy and dont deserve your business. Dont give up-. Be patient and dont give in to these known crooks.

David1, you need to get caught up to speed. MFG has sent BetUs/Omni the first 10k. He is betting both sides of the same game. On his current pace he will complete the rollover in less than a month. MFG will get most of his 25k back. That is if BetUs does not reneg on this deal.

This is one instance where I think they pay the player. They have everyone watching this ordeal. If they really wanted to screw him they wouldn't of sent him the 38k last time. They did that after Shrink got involved. Now they have several sites involved and everyone and their sister is aware of what is going on. They will screw players, but I think MFG gets his money out of them this time. But, I would not advise playing there in the future.

Hey Chuck, will they really let him bet both sides of same game. Wont that piss them off and therefore put his money at risk? I agree that they will pay since everyone is watching but it is clear to the players now and forever that this place is a complete fraud and is not a place that is safe or smart to do business with. I have experienced the wrath of Betus/Omni firsthand. They are similar to Royal in that they are dishonest at every level. They even have there wagering and customer service clerks lie for them. Its disgusting that places like this are allowed to operate. For Major Wager to fly their banner says a lot about Major Wager. No integrity whatsover. For any player looking to open up an account at a book, be advised,Betus/Omni is a very dishonest company that will stiff you without batting an eye. Stay clear from Betus/Omni at all costs.
