MSNBC has excellent coverage right now also. 139 passengers. Right now the aircraft may have to burn fuel before they attempt an emergency landing. The Airbus cannot manually dump fuel.

I doubt that there will be any serious injuries, but they're probably going to tear the crap out of the underside of the plane.

Wil is right-they're trying to run it dry.....landing at 5:26 pacific (5 minutes)

jus imagin a emergency landin for the Airbus A380 the biggest passenger jet ever. sorry to say but the woulb end up like the Titanic if that happens.

If the front landing gear "grabs", I'd think that the plane would have to spin out......can't say that I've ever seen that happen before.

gonna see how talented this pilot is ...

the gear will snap off. hopefully they will almost be stopped before he puts the front of the plane down..

should be soft in the foam they will put down..

i would be more worried about my golf clubs in the baggage compartment.

MSNBC has a pilot on now that said he went through something similar in the late 80's and when he put the nose down the plane skidded to a stop, leaving a huge skid mark on the runway. Hopefully this will end the same way.

MSNBC mentioned that this type of plane has tv screens in the back of all the seats, so people can watch live TV.....now that would be what bothered me.

Circling for 3 hours, and watching it all over CNN, MSNBC, etc. I suspect that someone had enough sense to shut that down when this started.....or at least I'd hope so-that would have to induce some serious f'ing panic.
