i would guess if you go back and look at the history of no hitters, you would see 18 month gaps alot......

Going way back you had many less teams and 154 games. I remember some books used to offer 50:1 ( I think it was) on a no-hitter being pitched on any given day. Real sucker bet !

I think it was during a stretch when no-hitters were being thrown like crazy, and at LV books.

That 50:1 offer must date back to the 1990 or 1991 seasons.
