I'm in a bit of a pickle looking at tomorrow's card. I only take 1 play per day, win or lose. I never take 2 because anything short of 2-0 & you lose money on the vig. by taking 1 play only, i really focus my capping on the best opportunity i can find. It's been key to my winning this year
So i'm torn - take under 6.5 Dontrelle Willis vs. Pedro Martinez, or Zach Duke to beat the Astros. Both plays have will have a similar line, -110 to -120.
I'm inclined to take the under in the Willis/Pedro matchup. Mets & Fish are not hitting well & have only a couple players per side that are HR threats. They are both sending in their nastiest, filthiest pitchers to win the rubber game. Both of these brutal starters are on their A-games. Pedro pitched a complete game shutout last week, & D-train pitched a pearl that unraveled in the ninth. My concern is such a low total & the Marlins have been unraveling of late.
Zach Duke has made me A LOT OF MONEY (review my posts) this summer & i'm struggling to pass him up. With Duke, i'm only betting on 1 pitcher instead of 2, & the opposing pitcher is not Zach Duke, so it's automatically a mismatch. But Duke has not pitched in a spell, it's not certain my money maker will be rolling. I don't have a recent trend to hang on
Personally i think both are great plays, to win in bases, you gotta find those pitchers that throw stuff that can't be hit & bet heavy. but my lean is on Willis & Pedro to humiliate their respective opponents. Both pitchers are very successful & proud. What do you think?
thanks in advance for reading this post & good luck!
