Mets beat Atlanta in the National League championship series in extra innings (or bottom of ninth) on a home run with runners on base. HR puts game total over but only runner on third touched home as other base runners joined celebration and only one run counted game stayed under.

USC plus 7.5 vs Washington game goes to overtime Washington scores on first posession to go up by 7. USC has ball intercepted and Washington runs it all the way to win in overtime by 13. Thought when you had more than seven in ot you could not lose.

If it was in 96 or 97 it was ASU. USC lost to ASU 48-35 on 10-19-96. USC lost to Washington 2 weeks later 21-10. In 97 USC again lost to both ASU and Washington but it was by much larger margins.

Dammit I had ALL three losers. What are the chances? Goddamn Robin Ventura not running the bases, I was watching it and had a pit develop in my stomach as he is getting mobbed. I am thinking geez they finally win a crucial game in this series and here the team is going bonkers still needing two more wins and its going to cost me. Sure enough the ruling comes back only one run scores. Then thinking about ASU running the ball back when it was the worst thing they could do (only way they could not win is if the guy fumbles). Of course NCAA then goes and bans the runback the next year, thanks guys. Then the Tampa crap, the ref even helping out with the leaping rule on the missed kick WTF??? I just needed a Tampa win and I would have won a big pool payout.

That ASU game opened 8, closed 6.5.

And it went to 7 pretty quickly. Yet, I have NEVER met anyone who admits to holding anything but a USC +7.5 or +8 ticket. It sure makes for the best story.........

i was on the wrong side of that monday night game with pitt v jax when the last second field goal was blocked and return for a touchdown. i can still see that guy scoop up that ball and take off running down the sidelines with no one chasing him. what a sickening feeling.

yep it was ASU and I was ill baby!

I watched the entire game through a squiggly line listening to Keith Jackson stumbling and bumbling all over himself...it was hard enough trying to follow the game, and when that last play happened i could NOT believe it!

I never did see the play, as it was described as an incomplete pass! WTF!

Will never foget that one. :hump:

I had tampa also.

The game ended with that BS leaping call, as WB pointed out. That one hurt.

i was ont he right side of this game as well!! A guy put in his PITT wager and I did not have a feel so I held it and wow what a finish on that Blocked kick.

As I recall in the other Pitt Jax game that year it was another Against the Spread crazy situation. NEver before had I recalled seeing both games in a season be that crazy ATS (but I dont recall what happened in the other game)

i did lose a gmae once was it the Cleve Indians up 10-0 and lost 11-10 vs Seattle or the other way around? I trytrytry to forget that one.

It was ASU vs USC and it was a fumble recovery for at TD on what Rob Johnson thought was an incomplete pass taken to the house by a big ASU DL. In regards to the Pitt/Jags game you speak of, Bill Cowher actually came out onto the field an attempted to Trip Chris Hudson as he took it back to the house. Ironcially enough the 2nd half total went which was gonna go over inFthe fg was made then under because it was missed then, then over again because ran back for a TD.
