What are the top 5-6 changes you see, players, rules that will impact the game the most and how will it factor into your bets?

I would imagine most would let a couple weeks pass before they go 'full in' wagering.

With that stupid 2 line pass gone, I think we will see more scoring ala breakaways. I saw it last night with Sid the kid. There are many fast ass skaters in the NHL that will be licking their chops when they finally get to break away and score.

Yeah, something is happening to up the scoring. Did you see all the 5-4 and 6-4 type scores the last two nights? This is waaaay up from before. Must be the no-red line, and probably the smaller goalie pads.

No red line is a big deal and should lead to higher scoring games. Things like the neutral zone trap will be nearly impossible to execute. Speed will count more, rather than big, plodding defensemen just waiting at the blue line.

As a former big, plodding defenseman, I hate to see the end of an era.

Agree with the no red line being a major factor in opening up the ice. Another will be the limited handling of the puck by the goalie. Also, I would look to overs early in the year. Games have been called very tight so far, leading to more power plays. I would look at the expansion teams too. They have younger rosters and the game will be faster, which benefits them.

More scoring at least at the begining of the season. It's gonna take them a while to adjust to all new rules. Also smaller goalie equipment should be a factor.
