Brett Favre on ESPN, talking about Brett Favre, 'Brett Favre this, Brett Favre that'

WTF...who was the guy that started this nonsense?

No one in the read world talks like this, and if they did people would llook at them like they were nuts, it's comical....

I interviewed Maurice Clarett many times in a period between his sophomore season in high school and his season at Ohio State.

CLASSIC!!...I cannot imagine any athlete who has ever come close to referring to himself in the third person.
"Yo, Mo wants to know if you want to do an interview on MO.." Numerous phone calls I received from "Mo," whenever he felt he was denied from the spotlight. What a classic guy.
I remember him being presented with an Army hat when he was named to the Army All-American team....His exact response to the sergeant..."Yo, Sarg. Mo's head is way too big for this. Got sumthin else fer Mo?" Uh huh, WAY too big for a lot of things there, Mo.
That being said, he was BY FAR!!!! the greatest high school football talent I have ever seen. Growing up in football country, that says a lot.

Bernie, good post. I have noticed that reporters often become very fond of athletes they get to do mulitple interviews with.

Expect shaugnassy. I dont think the guy respects anything.

I was going to say that earlier. I was under the impression that everyone in wrestling does it

Simple.. I'm on TV your not. I can say whatever I want on TV and I make millions and don't. So what I'm saying.. their ego lets them do it with a straight face. Now wrestlers... its just part of the script :)

I dislike Favre a little more each season. He seems to have bought into the media driven notion that the Green Bay Packers = Brett Favre

I'm a little down on Favre as well...the good old boy has went commercial on us, and seems a bit different the past couple years.

If Favre really is referring to himself in the 3rd person, he must be losing his marbles.
